gomorgan Posted December 24, 2021 Share #32 Posted December 24, 2021 I cannot get downstairs to my books, but most of these NG Military Academy's were founded late 50's and Mass. used this as a patch for their cadets, I've got the patch, think it comes in a couple of sizes. Trying to recover from Knee replacement and stuck away from my library and collection. Merry Christmas and glad to have been able to help.

ThatOneNewGuy816 Posted December 1, 2022 Share #35 Posted December 1, 2022 Can any of you guys get a definite age of the decals on this m1 liner. They were covered in a thick layer of OD green probably from the 70s, I was hoping if you guys could give a more specific date.
Mr.Jerry Posted December 1, 2022 Share #36 Posted December 1, 2022 The big yellow rank started being used in 1956- so no earlier than that.

BullyMaguire Posted December 26, 2022 Share #43 Posted December 26, 2022 I think I would like to post this here. I got this for Christmas it was seven dollars on eBay. But he’s wearing a helmet liner with a 78th infantry division decal or a paper decal. This is from World War II as the listing stated but I don’t know if the 78 used decals in World War II. The bottom photo is the one with color. Merry Christmas everyone.
CW4AFB Posted December 30, 2022 Share #44 Posted December 30, 2022 This is such a great topic and resource I thought I should add these for future reference --these are the original helmet decals that were sent to the Adjutant of Virginia in the late 1940s-early 1950s as samples of the quality of decals the manufacturer could make for the Virginia National Guard's helmets--note that it appears all of the samples are from Wisconsin. These decals are now maintained in the VA National Guard historical files. s/f Al
