Bob Hudson Posted December 20, 2020 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2020 Found this photo in the Army's WWII INFANTRY REPLACEMENT TRAINING CENTER - IRTC - booklet entitled I AM A DOUGHBOY. The camo helmets appear in just these two pages:

Bob Hudson Posted December 22, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted December 22, 2020 1 hour ago, kammo-man said: Multi piece test covers Owen Those curved seams standout. The booklet says this is a light machine gun squad and in a forum post 12 years a member said, "It's interesting to note that at Ft. Ord they were just issued to light machine gun teams." That must have been a test unit - the writer also noted the camo covers were seen in photos of troops in Florida. The only other camo in the IRTC booklet are helmet nets worn by members of a mortar squad. \
