webber Posted December 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2020 I simple question. Did "Boyt Leather Goods" ever manufacture the M1916 holster dated 1943? I've seen WW2 dates of 1942, 1944, and 1945. Could someone post a pic of a 1943 dated one? Did they make them that year?
everforward Posted December 16, 2020 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2020 While I don’t have a picture of one, I have owned them...I have seen and owned them for the years 1942-1945. I think if you Google “Boyt 43 holster” you will see images.
cgutierrez Posted December 16, 2020 Share #3 Posted December 16, 2020 Not to mention that BOYT is the only holster maker to have made a 1941 dated holster.
Ronald Posted December 16, 2020 Share #4 Posted December 16, 2020 Don't forget, they made 1943 dated holsters for the Colt Detective Special. Don' t see why they could make one in 43 unless they were busy on other contracts
Browninggunner688 Posted December 18, 2020 Share #5 Posted December 18, 2020 I have a BOYT 43 holster, from what I understand from reading up on M1916 holster production, BOYT was making the M3 shoulder holster in 1943 so production of the M1916 holster was pushed back so fewer were made. (I'm sure I got this information in here years ago). I have the following BOYT M1916 holsters. -42- -43- -44- I also have a BOYT M3 dated 1943 and a BOYT M7 U.S.M.C dated
