A couple months ago, the wife and I were driving through Southwest Ohio and stopped at a park in Wilmington, Ohio. These two historical signs were on display at the park detailing two air disasters that occurred locally in the 60's.

I just learned of the Air disaster over Ohio a few years ago.

Only 2 survivors. What led me to the story was a helmet I bought from a seller in Wilmington Ohio.

I believe the helmet was once worn by Colonel Samuel Sardis. He was one of the men killed in the crash. I believe I have one of his helmets.

Heres the post.
