As I understand the qualifications, it is for an accredited nurse trained in aviation medicine relating to flight. It was authorized in December, 1943 in gold color. Sometime in 1944, it was changed to silver color. Apparently it was only authorized in “miniature”, 2 inch size. This gold color, sterling silver pair has what looks to me to be the N.S. Meyer shield, and measures in at 1 7/8 inch. I don’t actually remember when/where I got this badge, probably over ten years ago or more, but I think it is a real example from WW II.

Comments Welcome, Thanks for looking,

Sorry but this looks like a cast copy as the details on the front are real soft.  In addition I know that the full size NS Meyer flight wings have a pin back hinge stop that only allows the pin to open part way not a full 180 degrees like your piece.

Very good Thanks!

We all learn here. Maybe this can help others see the difference from real and repo.

I appriciate you taking the time to respond with the indications of a repo.
