Oldcrestguy Posted November 30, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2020 I just picked up this insignia. The ASMIC motto catalog lists it as the 820th Army Unit, but I think this is a typo. Numbered Army units are generally four digits, with the first being the Field Army to which they are assigned. Having done some research, I think this is the 8200th Army Unit, which I think was an augmentation unit attached to the 8th Army staff. I am guessing that "RSAK" stands for Republic of Korea Staff Augmentation. Since I saw the unit's annual report referenced in a document about intelligence, I suspect they may have had an intelligence-related function. Can anyone confirm or correct any of this? tredhed2 Posted December 1, 2020 Share #2 Posted December 1, 2020 Massaro's DI article, JM 1983 Trading Post says Recreational Services Agency - Korea, later redesignated Recreational Services Organization, Korea. Not military, worn by civilians.
