Jennings Lane Posted November 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 28, 2020 U.S. Army WW1 era patch? ID please. It came with an old ROTC patch. Thanks
atb Posted November 29, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 29, 2020 I found one without the blue star on a US WW1 overseas cap. My first thought was that it was for "Trains" units, supply, ammunition, engineer trains, etc. But, seeing the blue star on your example, I'm thinking post-WW1 ROTC, maybe. Like "T" for Texas. The ROTC used different colored stars on the cuffs of uniform coats between the wars.
atb Posted November 29, 2020 Share #3 Posted November 29, 2020 Also, note the colored cord edging on the cap.
Jennings Lane Posted December 1, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted December 1, 2020 Thank you. I couldn't find anything but the "Trains", and that without the star. Like I mentioned, it did come with a ROTC item, so you're probably right. Much appreciated. Andy
