New "motto" word help on Unofficial 81st Fighter Squadron emblem ......

I recently lost a lot of info via my older PC crashing, lost info I had on this one, I'm seeking what first word on motto scroll is on the Unofficial 81st Fighter Squadron emblem is, appears to be "FIRN" or possibly "FION" but not sure, is there anyone here who may know "exact" word spelling , if so I'd very much appreciate help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny _ It has been suggested to me that this motto might consist of two words, not three, as we

originally thought, but the original artwork left something to be desired I'm afraid.

Hopefully we have a Latin scholar onboard.

Not a Latin scholar, far from it, but to me it looks like it says "Firm Sed Justa". Remember, this most likely was not proper Latin but rather fraternity style. I guess it was supposed to mean something like "Hard But Fair".

 

Just my $ 0.02, as well as my first post on here!

Thanks for the 2 cents worth reply :)  am still hoping someone may find the original art for this and post what they are .....
