I found these field telephones while going through my collection about a week ago. I hadn’t seen them in at least 20 years. The EE-8B hung in my grandfather's garage in southeast Texas for years. I don’t know how he came by it but I asked about it once and he ended up giving it to me. He said if I was interested in that, he had three more out back in the shop. This is where I found three TA-43’s. He told me they were my dad’s who was originally in communications while serving in Vietnam with the Army. Here they are.

“The Boatswain’s Mate and Coxswain is A JACK OF ALL TRADES AND A MASTER OF THEM ALL.”- 1944 edition of the BM2c training course material.
“They gave us an engine that first went up and down. With some more technology, the engine went around. We know of steam and diesel, but what’s a main yard for? A sailor ain’t a sailor, ain’t a sailor anymore!”- The Last Shanty
