Watkins Posted November 17, 2020 Share #7 Posted November 17, 2020 Great photo, and this helps firm-up a timeline for this image as we know that the 524th didn't transition to the P-51 until 1947, by which time the squadron had been for some time been redesignated as a Fighter Squadron (30 May 1944). Your posting of this image is a big help in establishing some provenance for this particular emblem design. Much obliged!
