aznation Posted November 17, 2020 Share #31 Posted November 17, 2020 Personally, I think the knife could be legit from WWII era. The leather handle and brass guard look old enough, the sheath with the leather and brass screws with patina look old enough. The only part of it that might seem a little newer looking is the blade, however, someone could've just taken care of it very well. In any case, it's a nice knife for sure. That's just my opinion. Since we know a little more about the person (Herman) now and the fact that he most likely served stateside most if not all the time, that could explain the nice condition of the knife. Who made the knife? It's anyone's guess I think. Whoever it was seemed very skilled.
Pbaczuk Posted November 17, 2020 Author Share #32 Posted November 17, 2020 Thank you everybody. That may be a stopping point with this one until someone shows a similar knife. I appreciate the research and effort.
