cerick1450 Posted November 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2020 Hello Is this purple heart and box WW2 era? Sorry for the poor picture, but it is all I could get. The box does not appear to me to be ww2 era, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
cerick1450 Posted November 6, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted November 6, 2020 I was just thinking that the box is probably from another medal. I am trying to get better photo's.

Allan H. Posted November 6, 2020 Share #4 Posted November 6, 2020 It is VERY possible that the box is WWII era or earlier and could be for the Purple Heart. BB&B issues all came in a blue cardboard box of issue with the number to the medal inked in the corner. Even with the lousy photo, I think it is a WWII piece. cerick1450 Posted November 7, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted November 7, 2020 Here are a couple of photo's. It appears to be an WW2 era PH. Un-named. I believe it is Army? Is that correct? I think the box may be for a WW2 victory medal. thank you

Blacksmith Posted November 7, 2020 Share #7 Posted November 7, 2020 It is a WWII medal, with an Army broach. One concern that I have, and it may be the angle of the picture, is that the drape looks short. Maybe as if the broach was resewn. Again, it could just be laying funny too. MMcollector Posted November 7, 2020 Share #8 Posted November 7, 2020 This is an Army contract medal. 100% original.
