McDermut99 Posted November 4, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2020 I thought I would post some photos of a set of bullion pilot wings that were on a Korean War era 5th Air Force uniform I had in my collection and sold on the Forum a while back. The uniform itself was posted here: https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/344619-korean-war-era-5th-air-force-uniform-theater-made-insignia/&tab=comments#comment-2763786 The wing is believed to be Japanese made and measures approximately 3 in. wide and 1 1/2 in. tall. It is made of silver bullion thread embroidered on a harder backing; maybe a cardboard like material with USAF blue fabric, that was then sewn onto the uniform. I hope this might help as a potential reference in the future!
