Ike jacket belonging to Staff Sergeant Walter A. Campbell. Campbell was apart of the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, which was attached to the 2nd Armored Division. Campbell saw 4 campaigns during his time in Europe and was wounded in action and later received the Purple Heart. Campbell saw combat from Normandy to the end of the war in Central Europe. Still doing more research to find out the cause and date of his wound. Note the use of combat leader stripes under his rank insignia and the use of black felt under his Combat Infantry Badge. This grouping also came with a shadow box that he and his family put together which make this uniform grouping one of my favorites. d6ccd35e54219f3f90f59db3f3d0cf66.jpg

Very nice group.

Is any of the clothing named to him?

Jacket has his laundry number printed a couple times inside the jacket. The hat I added for display.
