6th.MG.BN Posted October 19, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2020 If you have Amazon Prime or can find "Devil Dogs: Hero Marines of WWI" on a different stream/station, it's worth a look. Focuses on Belleau Wood, France. Ken
warguy Posted October 19, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2020 I second this recommendation and have watched it twice in the last month, I enjoyed it so much the first time. Starring Gilles Lagin, a French researcher of the Battle, he lives in the immediate area. One of only two foreigners honored by the Marines for all of the work he has done keeping their history alive. There is a book presented to him in the film, that tells the story of Major Cole from the 6th MGB who was killed in the battle. I bought the book as well and enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing this topic up, it is definitely worth watching. Kevin
Blacksmith Posted October 19, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 19, 2020 I completely agree. Very well-done program, and Mr. Lagin is incredibly deserving of the honors he’s received.
