CUBUSMC Posted October 16, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 16, 2020 Forgot to mention that the 3-1 stands for 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, which belongs to the 1st Marine Division. This unit served in Vietnam from January 1966 to May 1971 before relocating to Camp Pendleton California. So they could be war time or just post war. Do you know the Marine that owned them? USMCR79 Posted October 16, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 16, 2020 These tabs are used by the Marine Corps League - Military Order of Devil Dogs - Some members have custom made red vests that the wear to meetings that have these patches, unit patches etc. - Not for Military Uniform wear.
