M60 Driver Posted October 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2020 I have this photo of what I think is a Grumman HU-16. But I can't find any other image online with what look to be two 50 calibers mounted on the nose and perhaps another gun mount aft of the wing. Does anyone recognize this variant? TBMflyer Posted October 16, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2020 That is an XPBB-1 Sea Ranger, made by Boeing. Hope this helps. Mark

mohawkALSE Posted October 16, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2020 Its like a child of a B-17, B-24 and HU-16. Very interesting
TheCrustyBosun Posted October 17, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 17, 2020 I thought it was an Albatross at first glance too. Definitely not though.
