Hs132 Posted October 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2020 Hello, I obtained this grouping late last year from the family estate. They really didn’t have too much interest in it at all. The late Veteran signed up in 1965 and did his year and came home. He was Recondo and then Green Beret. The tiger stripes are a small size as are the black pants. He fought in 10 major campaigns in 10 months. Best, Bill

manayunkman Posted November 7, 2020 Share #14 Posted November 7, 2020 One tour is unusual for Special Forces. That is a chance of a lifetime group to find from the family.
Hs132 Posted November 7, 2020 Author Share #15 Posted November 7, 2020 Hello, sorry to say no Tokarev. This VN document was in the grouping. I’m not clear as whether it’s a good guy or the enemy. He was in the following operations: Austin, Hawthorne, Beauregard, John Paul Jones, Seward, Geronimo, Picket, and Farragut 3,4, and 5. He received his Army Commendation medal and V 11/29/1966 for Heroism near Tuy Hoa, ll Corps.

Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted November 7, 2020 Share #17 Posted November 7, 2020 The award says Republic Of Vietnam at the top so I'd hazard a guess he was friendly.
