Civil Affairs Team - DISCOM - 4th Infantry Division Patch

I am not familiar with this Civil Affairs, Division Support Command (DISCOM), 4th Infantry Division team patch.

 

With the South Vietnam flag, and in the style of more commonly seen Vietnam War-era "Civil Affairs Team 1st Brigade" patch, I was thinking this patch was made during the Vietnam War, perhaps in Japan.

 

But with a merrowed edge and the pig tail on the back, it indicates to me either a fake or a reunion item.

 

Can anyone educate me ? Is this patch an original  Vietnam War era item, or a reproduction?

IMHO it looks like a good, wartime Japanese made patch. Some from the period did have merrowed edges.

It certainly has all the characteristics of a patch made in Okinawa, Japan. Hard to tell when this was made, but I would think it's OK.
