emccomas Posted October 13, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2020 God morning all; Long time no chat with. I just wanted to share this with all of you. I was watching a documentary on the COMBAT WAR Channel named "Medal of Honor The History". The show is narrated by Gary Sinise and produced in 2014. It is a very interesting show displaying the detailed history of the Medal of Honor from it's inception during the Civil War to today. The show discussed the various types of the Medals of Honor, including (you guessed it) The Tiffany Cross. The show posed a list of the 25 recipients of the Tiffany Cross version of the Medal of Honor. Now we all know that the best estimate of the number of Tiffany Cross recipients is 22, not 25. Here is a picture of the TV screen with the list imposed over the image of the Tiffany Cross The list on the TV show includes Button, William Robert, and Hanneken, Herman H., and Upton, Frank Monroe. WE have photographs of all three either wearing the 5 pointed star medal, of the 5 pointed star medal attributed to them is one display. Still, the show was very interesting.
