Fritz Posted October 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 12, 2020 Picked this holster up a couple weeks ago, somewhat rare bird I believe and the condition is pretty sweet LOL. How many did they supposedly make? fritz
Greginva Posted October 17, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 17, 2020 That’s a maker I haven’t seen before.
joz Posted October 17, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 17, 2020 Great score! Correct, WALSH (Walsh Harness Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is considered very rare. You don't see them come up for sale too often. Manufacturing info and quantities of the M1916 holsters has been a difficult to come by. Hope somebody will come along with more info. Fritz Posted October 18, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted October 18, 2020 I never knew they made holsters, I have only seen the normal Boyt, Sears, Engel-Kress. Fritz
everforward Posted October 18, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2020 I had a real nice one back in the day......another friend of mine had one of these unissued and “in the bag”, first time I ever saw how a M1916 holster was packaged.
collector Posted October 30, 2020 Share #6 Posted October 30, 2020 Here's another, our fathers got us gear when we kids wanted to play Marines. Colored black per later specs.
