USCG Blues, Named, WWII

Here’s a USCG blue service uniform from COX Potter, F. W.  Jumper and trousers were purchased together. There are no labels from a manufacturer. There is a name tag attached to the hidden pocket in the inside of the jumper that reads Potter. I assume that it’s WWII judging by the right armed BM/COX crow. Not sure. He had some custom stitching added to both the jumper and the trousers, but no liberty cuffs. There is some strange stitching above the CG sleeve shield. It is not a repair. It appears as though there may have been another patch there.  What do y’all think?  Thanks.

We’ll start with the jumper.

Based on the rate style, materials made of, and positioning, this is from the 1940's.  Safe  just to call it "WW2 era

"

I thought so. It’s nice to get confirmation.

The fabric is Gaberdine.  The embroidery  Tells me these are private purchase.   Very nice, and concure, WW2.

Thanks. What’s your read on these?

Looks like there was a marksman ship patch sewn on there. In those days, it was a patch sewn lower right sleeve. They were often set at an angle
