usmcdoc67 Posted October 10, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2020 Picked up a Hi-Standard H-D Military pistol today at a local auction. Looking for information about it. The serial # is 238,8xx and may be from the mid to late forties. Has a deep blued finish, with walnut grips and one 10 round magazine. Finish is 95% with excellent barrel and adjustable rear sight. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doc
Ronald Posted October 10, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 10, 2020 If it has the adjustable sights, it is post 1946. The pre 1945 US Property H-D's had a fixed sight. A picture of yours would help in actually identifying it.
kwill Posted October 10, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 10, 2020 Given the SN, wooden grips and adjustable sights it is a commercial gun from about 1947 or 1948. The USA Model H-D only went up to about 144000.
