TheCrustyBosun Posted October 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 9, 2020 One of my grandfathers finished his WWII USCG service working at the range outside New Orleans. He gave me this headspace and timing tool and I used it everyday in Kuwait during OIF when we’d come off the water and clean our crew served weapons. viking4zero Posted October 9, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2020 I know the go and no go dimensions are the same, old or new, but is yours one of the older ones that has a slimmer body?
TheCrustyBosun Posted October 9, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted October 9, 2020 Yes, I believe so. Our GMC (Chief Gunners Mate) initially gave me crap about using it. He used a current issue one then mine and got the same results. He handed mine back to me and said, “That’ll work.”
viking4zero Posted October 10, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 10, 2020 I've got one of the slimmer ones I kept after retirement, just as a souviner. Love it!
