Waltz41 Posted October 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2020 Unfortunately, even with all the aircraft there, they couldn't pull this off with the only thing out of their control......the weather. Ceiling was just too low both Friday and Saturday a couple of weeks ago to make it work. Such a shame.....this took a lot of time and planning and money. Hats off to the organizers and those that brought the aircraft. I caught some of the planes as they were grounded on Friday and then left for home on Saturday. sundance Posted October 8, 2020 Share #7 Posted October 8, 2020 Thank you - great photos. I love the Airacobra. My dad always told me about seeing Airacobras in flight while he was in college at the University of Buffalo. They were being built at the nearby Bell plant in Niagara Falls. He graduated in '42 and was immediately drafted. Then off to the Pacific.

TheCrustyBosun Posted October 8, 2020 Share #9 Posted October 8, 2020 Devil Dog looks great! It was one of my favorites at shows in Texas when I was growing up. There were several shows (In the mid 90’s) where my Civil Air Patrol buddies and I would help wipe down the plane in exchange for getting inside. It’s nice to see an A-26 out there again and a second airworthy B-29 is icing on the cake. Ah hell! It all looks great! Thanks for posting the pics.
