halfaheart Posted October 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2020 I picked up this uniform at an estate sale and I'm trying to identify whom the wearer might have been. Does anyone have any knowledge regarding this uniform ? Thanks !
TheCrustyBosun Posted October 7, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2020 I’m thinking it’s an ROTC uniform or from a private military school.

I have one from a different private military school that still has all the ROTC patches on the sleeves/cuffs, it's also the same color fabric as yours. Yours is more of a WWI style uniform though. TheCrustyBosun Posted October 7, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 7, 2020 Should be fun to positively identify though. I’m curious.
Wake1941 Posted October 7, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 7, 2020 If you google the motto on the patch plus rotc I’m sure it’ll give you a some idea. There are tons of ROTC/Academies that were around Philadelphia
willie128 Posted October 8, 2020 Share #6 Posted October 8, 2020 The appearance of the crest (with motto) suggests the New York Military Academy
halfaheart Posted October 8, 2020 Author Share #7 Posted October 8, 2020 But the F on the emblem doesn't seem to indicate it would be from the NY Military Academy, or am I missing something ?

I suspect that it indicates the company to which the wearer was assigned.
bobskielpaso Posted November 17, 2020 Share #9 Posted November 17, 2020 The "F" Patch on the Uniform is from New York Military Academy (Identified as N24D in the ASMIC ROTC Patch Catalog) Only strange thing about the uniform is that it has standard US Army Buttons - New York Military Academy has had their own uniform buttons ( of several variation) over the years. Hope that helps.

halfaheart Posted November 19, 2020 Author Share #16 Posted November 19, 2020 NO DJT initials found Someone else identified this jacket as coming from Widener University in the 1920s, which was also known as the Pennsylvania Military College .
