doyler Posted January 21, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2009 MC is correct on the shovels.Your folding model may have a date up toward the top of the blade.Sometimes it is obscured by layers of paint as these were often repainted and reissued or surplused out.Nice cover with adjustable hook. The pick/mattock set is a fairly common issue also.The one out of the cover appears to be a re-paint.These to may have a maker/date and will be stamped on one of the flate area of the pick.I would say yours are WW2 vintage.
