Just want to share with you my latest pick up in a bunch of WWI & WWII US equipment.  A MInt Unissued WWII Paratrooper M1A1 Carbine Jump Case Made By Carters Bros Inc 1944.  It has a tag that it was for sale for $2.99!  I did a search on the web and it seems this is one of the rare manufacturers for this case.  "ATLAS AWNING 1944" seems to be the most common.
