Fantastic grouping!  I have a grenade vest modified the same way.

It’s a cracking piece of modified gear ! Made into a Bandolier. Would you post yours here please for reference.

Thanks for the kind comments

Here are some close up shots of the theatre modified pieces, from the cut down grenade vest to the shortened machete with aircraft handle and modified USN sheath.

also there is his Jungle light which fits in the bandolier and his used jungle boots which have stained laces !

each boot showing considerable use

Dean,

This is possibly the most complete grouping I’ve ever seen and it’s absolutely incredible. The helmet and photos of others like it put the grouping in a league of its own. I’m excited for you and could not think of a better person to be the caretaker.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I will be adding some of his letters and his photos as time permits. Also the ESB book has some incredible photos which I think would be an interesting read for some members.

Sorry, I have not taken pictures of the vest yet.  The day after I posted about the vest, my wife was admitted to the hospital with what they thought was Covid-19 but it turned out to be bacterial pneumonia.  She was in the hospital 5 days and now, 3-4 weeks later she is still not completely over it.  With all this going on, I forgot about the pictures.  I wrote myself a note today to take the pictures.  Hopefully, I won't forget again.

Here are a few pictures of my cut down grenade vest made into a grenade bandolier.  When I can, I'll take it off the torso and take pictures of the back.
