Unknown US sharpshooter / infantryman badges ?

Does anyone recognize these badges? I can't find anything about them. Maybe they come from ROTC? What clasps were attached to blue color badge?

 

One has red enamel and the other has blue, both are silver in color and both hallmarked N.S. Meyer. Width approx 1.5 inch.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't recognize them exactly, but, from my knowledge of competitive shooting (my parents were friends from the rifle club, if that tells you anything), the red one is clearly a competition award. Eric Lewis shot 258 out of 260 (makes me think there was a shoot off to settle a tie- best out of ten) on December 8th of 1973. The right one in a qualification badge that would have weapons or dates attached.

I wonder if it's US though. Day-Month-Year is not the most common dating convention over here. Canadian?
