easterneagle87 Posted September 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2020 Saw this jumper while I was out. What threw me was the zippers. Has anyone seen this type of modification? I've seen them on the edge of the sleeves and up under the arm pits, but never down the front. What cha think?
patches Posted September 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2020 An unusual one, see how it used to be a dress one and the White stripes on the flap were removed but left the stars as we see, the cuffs too we suppose.
sigsaye Posted September 27, 2020 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2020 This was a very common modification to convert a jumper, into a civilian jacket. Done mostly in the 1950s early 1960s. So, while this jumper may have started life as a USN uniform, it was “Discharged to “Civie Street” to become a jacket.
