I'm trying to work out uf the payees are legit, the CBI patch confuses me on a jacket so long after the end of the war.

NAP on name tag is that for naval air pilot enlisted rank.

The patch under the nameplate is for VU-7, the other is VRF-32. Can't give you any information as to the why on the CBI.

Hope this helps,

Mark

Thanks for the help

Nice jacket. Is it for sale? Also, that isn’t a CBI patch, it’s a MAAG Formosa (Taiwan) patch, so I don’t see any problems with it being on the jacket.

Thanks for the info.

It was on ebay, I did not know about those patches and the photo did not show the whole patch with MAAG on it.

Military Assistance Advisory Group Formosa patch.
