BigJohn#3RD Posted September 14, 2020 #1 Posted September 14, 2020 At first glance, I saw this wallet with the hand-painted 17th Airborne Division as a one of a kind souvenir of World War Two paratroopers memory of his combat service.
BigJohn#3RD Posted September 14, 2020 Author #3 Posted September 14, 2020 How ever after looking at the traditional VFW Card; I dug a little deeper in the folds found this very thin onionskin document from his time in the occupation forces of Germany.
BigJohn#3RD Posted September 14, 2020 Author #4 Posted September 14, 2020 Thank you Robert, I thought so as well.
Persian Gulf Command Posted September 14, 2020 #6 Posted September 14, 2020 Great items for the collection. Are the Jump Wings Hallmarked?

TFH Posted September 15, 2020 #10 Posted September 15, 2020 Very nice ! Roy Bradbury was member of the 194th GIR. TFH
sundance Posted September 16, 2020 #11 Posted September 16, 2020 Great item. I love the personal things. Wish it could talk. Not about the fraternization of course.
BigJohn#3RD Posted September 21, 2020 Author #12 Posted September 21, 2020 Thanks for all the comments folks, they are much appreciated. The wings are marked sterling, I assume the set given at graduation from jump school. I found that Roy's wife posted his WW2 Service on the WWII memorial: https://www.wwiimemorial.com/Registry/plaque.aspx?honoreeID=92376
katieony Posted September 21, 2020 #13 Posted September 21, 2020 John, Real interesting bring-back! Thanks for sharing it. Mike
