Unknown Aviation Patch

A request came into the CG Historian's office concerning this patch. The patch once belonged to the owner's grandfather who was apparently in the Coast Guard during WWII. She has no further information. We are having difficulty identifying it so any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Coast Guard "Usually" had "Coastal Patrol Squadrons" during WW2 era, so "possibly" 47th Coastal Patrol Squadron" an their aircraft were "usually" painted in bright colors as is the plane on the patch ........

The Latin translates into "Always Ready in the clouds" "Semper Paratus" is the Coast Guard motto and "In Nubibus" is "In the Clouds" so I would also say 47th Patrol Squadron. Great looking patch by the way!
