Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Is it just me or is he wearing a poncho liner with a hole cut in it? It has a solid green border like the liner while the poncho is erdl to the edge. Also the neck hole looks lopsided and I think some of the white stuffing is sticking out

kammo-man Posted September 13, 2020 Author Share #95 Posted September 13, 2020 The original US test prints of the ERDL leaf pattern was printed on the heavy oG 107 type cloth. As testing went on in the early 1960s and a new front opened up in south Vietnam the existing stocks of yardage was deemed surplus and allocated to the Arvn and public auctions. The testing was advanced by this stage in 1964 and new light weight cloths were coming on line. This coupled with slight changes in the print regarding colors. Here’s a Vietnamese production set using US production cloth from 1966.The shirt resembles a Frogskin Army WW2 cut The pants similar to the US utility pant only with a crouch re enforcement and hidden back buttons.Easy to confuse with US produced hunting items but completely different. Here’s a Special forces used set to a decorated man.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kammo-man Posted September 13, 2020 Author Share #96 Posted September 13, 2020 Hats were made from cutting up uniforms literally. This Vietnamese production pork pie style is very typical of the mid 60sBy 68 is was out of style. The grid sewing is very Florida civilian beach style.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
