Cap Camouflage Pattern I

Only a page and I'm already drooling, great idea for a thread!

To be sure I'm clear, on the reversed beret is it light green brown which have swapped shapes?

So I have a question about ERDL:  As I understand it, the pattern itself goes back to the end of WWII, but when did it first appear on issued uniforms?  Everything I'm seeing seems to be ~1967 or so. Is that right?  Or were there ERDL uniforms issued before that?

Pattern development was 1948.
Reversible suits 1963.
Test suits issued 1964.
Invisible print 1965.
Poplin 1966.
Rip Stop 1968.
Brown prints 1968.
Brown variations 1969-70
Test patterns 1972.
RDF 1976-79 ....old bolts of all patterns used to fill orders.

I hope that answers your question

Owen, great thread... thanks for starting it..

Here’s an in-country made erdl USMC cover.

It is named to a 33 year veteran (WWII, Korea, Vietnam). In Vietnam he was a Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Third Batallion, Ninth Marines.

some funky tailor made thing , Delta Print , Poplin non reinforced shoulder ( seems to be jungle jacket cloth ) , rubberised rear pocket ( seems to feel like poncho material )
