Martinjmpr Posted August 26, 2020 Share #41 Posted August 26, 2020 So I have a question about ERDL: As I understand it, the pattern itself goes back to the end of WWII, but when did it first appear on issued uniforms? Everything I'm seeing seems to be ~1967 or so. Is that right? Or were there ERDL uniforms issued before that?
kammo-man Posted August 26, 2020 Author Share #42 Posted August 26, 2020 Pattern development was 1948. Reversible suits 1963. Test suits issued 1964. Invisible print 1965. Poplin 1966. Rip Stop 1968. Brown prints 1968. Brown variations 1969-70 Test patterns 1972. RDF 1976-79 ....old bolts of all patterns used to fill orders. I hope that answers your question Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It is named to a 33 year veteran (WWII, Korea, Vietnam). In Vietnam he was a Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Third Batallion, Ninth Marines.
