Hi, I’m new to the forum so I hope I do this right. I have a collection of American painted WWI helmets. I have one that I have not been able to identify. Has anyone seen this insignia before?

Don't know about the artillery device, but white helmets were used by the US forces in Russia.  I have an 'Id one to a fellow in the 332nd MG company.  It is white with RUSSIA painted across the top.

The white is just dust on the helmet. Think it is from the flash. It is a OD green helmet. Some thought it might be costal artillery. Another guy said it was an early tank training unit.
