Normandie Posted August 31, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2020 Hi everybody, I am looking for help and opinion regarding something that recently arised while I was browsing my collection. Cased medals were supplied with a ribbon bar and the small enamelled lapel pin. When I see WWII medal sets I see two types of pins that are typical for this period. One has a flat-base, the other has a bent-dish. I added one picture of each. Is there a time period one type was issued and manufactured or these were manufactured by different companies and were added to the medals sets randomly. I was thinking about that the flat-base version is the earlier type as I often see it with wrap brooch medal sets and the other bent-base one is manufactured during the later part of the war. Anybody could help me out with information regarding this? Bence
