Payne JG USNR.Appears to have been a coastal patrol from the Aleutian's down to Washington state by the maps in grouping.Dividers, nav.computers, protractors, ID books, headphones, 1 cold weather cap, 5 visor cap tops, 1 insignia band w/insignia,1 front band, 2 sets of Gemsco shoulder boards & 1 flight cap with aviator wings (viking) & captions bars. Have not done any history search as of yet but briefly read a journal stating he lost gear in downed PBY-5A, 08096, 16 Aug 1944. As for the parachute?????
