reapp Posted August 31, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2020 This one is marked "Captain" on the front, and is ID'd to a Roy Davis of Caledonia, MI (per newer paper label on inside). I don't know what he was a captain of, but the helmet is in good condition for it's age. I'll try to post more of the helmets as time permits. Steve Brannan Posted September 21, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 21, 2020 Excellent WW2 Navy Helmet. This is the first time I have seen it. Do you know what invasions he took part in. Need to get his records when St Louis reopens. I really like it.
MattS Posted September 21, 2020 Share #7 Posted September 21, 2020 Looks like in that photo he is wearing his WW2 Victory ribbon up top and has a couple of stars on his PTO ribbon. Must have seen some action late in the war (1944 onwards), possibly in the Philippines if the last ribbon is the Philippine Liberation Medal. Roy Allen Davis, service number 360170 for future reference.
