reapp Posted August 31, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2020 This is a second helmet which I got from my uncle, and it was his personal helmet. It is roached out, as it was kept on a shelf in an open-ended carport for decades. No writing or distinguishing marks...just dirt and rust! MattS Posted August 31, 2020 Share #4 Posted August 31, 2020 Another early front seam fixed bail, too bad it wasn't taken care of better.
Mr.Jerry Posted August 31, 2020 Share #5 Posted August 31, 2020 Looks like an early low pressure liner in that one too!
reapp Posted August 31, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted August 31, 2020 The liner is definitely thin, and there is a chipped out hole in the side of it. Two of my uncles served in WWII, with this one going in in 1941, and the second in 1944.
