Here’s a recent find! Grouping of a retired Captain who served from 1970-1997 I believe. His career spanning from Vietnam to the first gulf war and beyond. Looks like most of the items were things presented to him for his service. The coolest thing obviously having to be the data plate from the first tomahawk missile fired in the First Gulf War.

From the ship he commanded in the First Gulf War, the Paul F. Foster

Decommissioning Pennant from another ship he commanded, the USS Affray.

Items from when he worked in the Mine Warfare Ship Program, including some parts from the engine I believe. If anyone can give me more information on this stuff I would appreciate it.c93282788142d4efe5cfcba834a17ca7.jpg

2 of his hats, one with the Scrambled Eggs I’m guessing from another one of his commands. Also interestingly a flag case. No flag, not sure why he he had this, but maybe a souvenir from one of his ships? Or something else? Not sure.

We also have plaques galor! Close up pictures can be given upon request.

Looks like some jewelry with naval buttons mixed in. Not entirely sure, I think it’s a mix of both

And here we have Korean Admiral cuff links I believe as well as a medallion from the 14th anniversary of combined forces command.

And finally my favorite thing and what I think is the coolest thing out of this who group is the data plate from the first tomahawk missile “fired in anger” in the First Gulf War. I think that sums it up pretty well!

And that’s pretty much it. I don’t have much history on his service, but all in all it looks like he had a pretty interesting career! Thanks for looking!
