It looks exactly like a M-1951 field jacket, but there are no markings or tags at all. The zipper looks just like the one you posted, with the wierd markings on the metal and the HBT reinforcement stiching. What do I have? Thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas. I just sniped a beauty of a M-1951 USMC contract FJ in L-R size! for 24 dollars. I have seen a pair before in a friend's collection. They are identical to the Army versions, but were marked U.S.M.C. on the back in white letters. WX555571 Posted December 18, 2016 Share #87 Posted December 18, 2016 Heres another mint pair of boondocks dated 1957, General Shoe Co- Brown eyelets, brown stitching, brown leather on the interior, black tongue and black backing leather on the eyelet panels, brown laces original to the boots- therefore BROWN boots.
