cagedfalcon Posted August 19, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 19, 2020 Pick up this Bob Hope collection today. Pick is autographed to LTC John Edwards. He was the person who arranged Bob's World Tour. Book is not autographed. Love the pic of Charleston Heston. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Old Crow 1986 Posted September 20, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 20, 2020 Great pictures! I'm especially drawn to the ones of Sammy Davis Jr. Three of them look like he's doing his show out in the boonies somewhere...and giving it his all. Thanks for sharing. rtd_sf_eng Posted December 29, 2020 Share #7 Posted December 29, 2020 We did not have Bob Hope visit our camp but Martha (Maggie) Ray did. Sometime in November 1968 she made the rounds to all A, B, and C camps and I happened to be in our camp, Camp Duc Hue (Duke Way), A-325. She had a photographer accompanied her with a Polaroid camera, taking a picture of her and the detachment member. She would autograph all photographs taken, Mine was destroyed when my hold baggage got wet when moving from Okinawa to Fort Bragg. But I did take pictures of her and some of the guys who were in camp at the time. In the first picture, she is with Lt Rosco, CA/PO officer, second picture she is with SFC R.O. Taylor, Sr. Weapons Sgt. Next, she is with SP4 Lewis Chapman, Jr. Radio Operator. forth picture she is with SGT Larry Kelly, Sr. Radio Operator. In that same picture and to is left is SFC Darrel J. Linde, Team Sergeant. The last picture is from an issue from the Green Beret magazine with LT Roscoe, CPT Tin (Camp Commander), me, and Maggie. We provided pink Champaign to honor her visit.
