Sand Flea Posted August 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2020 I recently acquired this old photograph of a US Marine and his wife. It appears to be pre-WW 2 based on the US Army shooting badges worn on his uniform. I believe he was an office based on the EGA on his collar. have no information on these individuals other than the names Earl and Wanda Ray. Anyone with additional information would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy
aznation Posted August 16, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 16, 2020 This could very well be your couple. They were married 12 April 1930. Earl's wife, Wanda Doris (Raines) Ray was from Everett, WA at the time they were married and they're both buried in Everett. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/21295879/earl-e-ray Perhaps someone can check the Marine Corps Muster Rolls and see if he's on there. DocCollector1441 Posted August 16, 2020 Share #3 Posted August 16, 2020 Earl E. Ray enlisted 27 September 1927. He spent the bulk of his time with the USS California's Marine Detachment. Also spent time at the Guard Company Puget Sound Naval Yard and finished at Marine Barracks Iona Island. He was discharged in 1931 as a Private First Class.
