cagedfalcon Posted August 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2020 Picked up this foot locker today. 31x17x13. Lock serial number dates it to 1898-1906. The red, blue & white roundel was only used 1918-19, so that dates its use. Handles & reinforcing are leather as i believe the skin is. The skin is splitting but overall inGood condition for about 114-122 years old. Interior is showing age but is complete with lift out drawer & leather snap locks. The hand painting is quality work, showing a winged roundel, H.S. ROSS, PORTLAND, OREGON. ENJOY Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
dmar836 Posted August 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2020 Pretty cool. Didn't know they used private purchase luggage in WWI. Never really thought about that. Have you been able to research the name? Dave

cagedfalcon Posted August 16, 2020 Author Share #7 Posted August 16, 2020 Looking at the second card, is ASFS Air Service Flight School? If it is, this will be the first I've traced without help.
