I think I posted one of these years ago. But I was able to find another to make a set. Both are SILVER & Meyer marked. I've never seen the silver style before.

We're these used when the Army did BOS insignia in silver or an early Air Force version?

I am surprised no one has answered this yet. They are Army and they are white gold, there was a loop hole in the regulations stating only, all insignia would be be gold color. To be different people would opt for white gold, this was tolerated as long as all insignia were the same color. Eventually the Army changed the regulation and now everything must be yellow gold.
