Bob Hudson Posted August 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2020 This came from a career Marine. It is a map of Okinawa and nearby islands. It reminds me a lot of the silver ID bracelets with name engraved on the back that were popular for GI's and loved ones. But this doesn't seem to be silver and there's no engraving, just the maps. It seems like an odd souvenir to bring home: I imagine not too many people in the US would want to wear a Ryukyu Islands bracelet. That makes me think it is occupation era when something from Japanese territory was still a novelty.

Using google and worthpoint, I have looked at hundreds of images of Okinawa and Japan bracelets and have found nothing at all similar to this.
