phantomfixer Posted August 4, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2020 Found a few of these at the local Army Navy...with a contract date of 1972... never seen em before, assuming they are for MP use... the ammo box is full of black climbing spikes...no markings on em
Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted August 4, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2020 I feel they were used in training but don't remember why I feel that way.
BagmanL6 Posted August 5, 2020 Share #3 Posted August 5, 2020 Utilized quite often on ranges by Cadre, Safety Officers, Instructors, etc. During an assignment at USMC School of Infantry we used white painted helmet bands/ranger bands. I'm sure they've been used for other functions but live fire ranges is certainly one of them.
Rhscott Posted August 5, 2020 Share #4 Posted August 5, 2020 I remember them on Range Safety Personnel and Road Guards on tactical road marches. Being a pervious MP I never saw them used in any way by duty MPs. Just a high visibility band. Oh, also saw “evaluators” use them on field exercises to denote them as not being friendly or bad guy forces.
