Got this Saturday from the vets grandson. Emery L. Knickerbocker, Company K 33rd Michigan. I especially like the M1883 blue wool shirt with the 33 MICH on the collar. Incudes his fork and knife, diary and scrapbook.

Amazing grouping Robin! Would love to add it to Michigan's Military Heritage Museum if you ever part with it.    Scott

Great grouping-- the embroidered blue shirt is my favorite piece.

 

I am not familiar with the Regiment-- did they make it over into theater or were they a mobilized state side Regiment?

All the better for the grouping! 

 

Vast majority of units only saw mobilization and stateside service in one of the Southern Camps.  Lots of disease but no action.
